The Patient Advocate Foundation is a national non-profit organization that seeks to safeguard patients through effective mediation assuring access to care, maintenance of employment and preservation of financial stability relative to their diagnosis of a life threatening or debilitating disease. They also have a program that provides co-pay assistance to insured Americans who qualify as well as several other programs.
American Cancer Society
American Cancer Society has staffed health professionals that are available 24 hours a day to provide information to cancer patients and their families. They provide information on many cancer topics, day to day help and emotional support.
The Hill-Burton Foundation
The Hill-Burton Foundation is a government program that helps with services for those who are underinsured, uninsured, or cannot afford to pay for the services needed. Enrolled facilities that receive funds via this program have to commit to free treatment of a certain percentage of people who cannot pay.

Cancer Hope Network
Cancer Hope Network provides free one-on-one emotional support to adult cancer patients and their loved ones. Each of CHN’s 400+ volunteers is at least one year post-treatment or successfully undergoing maintenance therapies. They have faced more than 80 cancer types and speak 15 languages. Their volunteers offer support from diagnosis, through treatment and into recovery.
